Speaking of new year greetings this year himani and I actually posted hand-made new year greeting cards to folks.
She (being rather goodish at water colours) painted. She also tried other media such as oil-pastels for some of the cards.

Here I am with my annual fare

A few lines for the New Year Greeting

Resolve in the New Year to listen to Nature�s wonder
Lift your spirits with the world�s splendor
When you want to feel good, borrow a song
And when World needs a helping, pass your heart along

Complements, complaints, and some heartburn
They all enrich you, you�ll be sure to learn
Befriend many, displease a few
With every new day, start anew

To each person we meet, let�s all be nice
Seek the value and avoid to price
Sunrise to sunset, sunshine is everywhere
We only need a vision, and an openness to share

Winter is a promise of Spring waiting in wings
Carry hard times along, as the New Year rings
Wherever we go, let�s have music in our feet
